A physiological performance test used primarily by athletes to determine the exercise intensity at which lactate begins to accumulate in the blood faster than it can be cleared.
is the exercise intensity at which blood lactate begins to accumulate faster than it can be cleared. This occurs when the body transitions from predominantly aerobic energy production to a greater reliance on anaerobic energy systems, leading to an increase in lactate production.

Benefit from our expertise, honed through years of conducting the lactate threshold tests.
You can choose to test at your house or condo gym, eliminating unnecessary travel and save your energy for the test.
Receive your test results on the spot, along with insights and recommendations to optimize your training.
1. How is the test conducted?
Typically, you’ll running on a treadmill and gradually increasing exercise intensity, while we’ll take small blood samples from your fingertip to measure blood lactate level at intervals.
2. How long does the testing session take?
There are 2 parts in the session.
I) The full test, including resting data collection, warm-up and lactate threshold test, usually takes around 45 minutes. The actual exercise portion may be different, depending on fitness level and stages.
II) Consultation will normally takes 30 to 45 minutes to explain the result and the report, as well as depend on the questions that you have.
3. Is lactate threshold testing safe?
Yes, lactate testing is safe for most healthy individuals. It’s essential to inform us of any medical conditions or recent injuries so we can make any necessary adjustments. A trained professional will be present to monitor the process and ensure your safety throughout the test.
4. What do i get from the test results?
You’ll receive a comprehensive report detailing your lactate threshold, training zones, and performance insights. This information will help you or your coach on designing a individualized training plan tailored to your level and goals.
5. How often should i do a lactate threshold testing?
We recommend repeating the test every 6 months, depending on your level, goals and training frequency. Testing at these intervals helps track progress and adjust training zones as your physiological response changes.
6. How can i schedule a test?
Please reach out to us using the contact information provided below (last page) and complete the Registration Form, and we will schedule an appointment at a time that works best for you.
7. What should and should not do before the test?
Kindly refer to the following pages regarding on the DOs and DON’Ts BEFORE TEST.
8. What should i wear / bring on testing day?
a) Sports Apparel: Wear comfortable, breathable sports clothing suitable for running. Bring a change of clothes if you’d like to freshen up afterward.
b) Running Shoes: Appropriate shoes are essential for treadmill tests, as you’ll be working at high intensities.
c) Towel & Water Bottle: To stay comfortable and hydrate during the session.
d) Small Snack or Drinks: For post-test recovery, bring a sports drink or light snack, such as bread or biscuit, to replenish energy after intense session.
