ACL RETURN-TO-PERFORMANCE
ACL RETURN-TO-PERFORMANCE
Completing rehabilitation after ACL injury or reconstruction is a significant achievement. But returning to sport should not depend only on how much time has passed since surgery.
THE CHALLENGES
Many people who complete rehabilitation still have measurable physical deficits when they attempt to return to sport. These deficits may not be obvious — and they may not feel significant — but they can affect performance and confidence.
Objective testing identifies exactly where you stand against published return-to-performance criteria — so the plan is based on your data, not assumptions.
This includes people who are:
⚠️ Strength deficits in the quadriceps and hamstrings
⚠️ Side-to-side strength differences (limb symmetry index)
⚠️ Reduced explosive power and force production
⚠️ Jumping and landing limitations
⚠️ Fear of reinjury and reduced confidence
⚠️ Reduced cardiovascular fitness
⚠️ Incomplete preparation for the demands of sport
OUR PROCESS
Objective physical assessment tailor to different population.
Explain result and understand your condition and goals.
A personalised and targeted program built on your data.
Monitor your condition throughout the sessions.
Measure progression and adapt the plan.
WHAT WE ASSESS
✔ Quadriceps and hamstring strength (isokinetic dynamometry)
✔ Single-leg hop tests
✔ Landing mechanics and quality
✔ Cardiovascular fitness
✔ Limb symmetry index (bilateral comparison)
✔ Reactive strength and explosive power
✔ Confidence and readiness to return
